Account Deletion Policy
Effective Date: July 23, 2026
Last Updated: October 20, 2026
1. Introduction
This Account Deletion Policy explains how you may delete your Jackaroo account, what happens after your account is deleted, what information may be retained, and how active subscriptions are handled.
This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
2. Requesting Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account at any time through:
- The account settings page within the Service, where available.
- Contacting Jackaroo Support using the contact information provided on our website.
For your security, we may require you to verify ownership of the account before processing your request.
3. What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Once your deletion request has been processed:
- You will no longer be able to sign in.
- Your profile will no longer be visible to other users.
- Your active sessions will be terminated.
- Access to subscription benefits will end according to Section 7 of this Policy.
- Your account cannot be recovered unless we explicitly state otherwise before deletion is completed.
Account deletion is intended to be permanent.
4. Information We Delete
Subject to Section 5, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account, including:
- Email address
- Username (where appropriate)
- Authentication credentials
- Friends list
- Profile information
- Personal preferences
- Authentication tokens
- Other personal account data
Chat messages you already sent keep the display name shown when they were sent (see Section 8).
Passwords are never stored in plain text and will be permanently removed as part of account deletion.
5. Information We May Retain
We may retain certain information where permitted or required by applicable law, or where reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce our Terms of Service
- Investigate fraud or abuse
- Maintain the security and integrity of the Service
- Prevent banned users from immediately creating replacement accounts
- Meet accounting or tax requirements
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of Jackaroo, our users, or others
Examples of retained information may include:
- Records of subscription transactions
- Security logs
- Abuse reports
- Enforcement history
- Limited technical logs
- Information required for legal compliance
Retained information will be stored only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes.
6. Match History and Leaderboards
To preserve the integrity of completed games and historical records:
- Completed match records may remain in our systems.
- Leaderboard and statistical records may be retained or anonymized.
- Historical game information may continue to reference an anonymized or inactive account where necessary to maintain accurate records.
Where feasible, personally identifying information will be removed or replaced.
7. Active Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your Subscription.
If you have an active recurring Subscription, you should cancel it before requesting account deletion.
Where technically possible, we may cancel future renewals as part of the deletion process. However, you remain responsible for managing your Subscription until cancellation has been confirmed.
Except where required by applicable law, deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund for unused Subscription time.
8. Friends and Messages
Deleting your account may affect social features.
For example:
- Your account may disappear from friends lists.
- Existing conversations may remain visible to other participants.
- Private messages and in-game table chat you already sent are kept and may continue to appear within conversations, with the display name shown when they were sent.
Chat messages are not removed when your account is deleted because they form part of other players' conversation history.
9. Backups
Copies of your information may temporarily remain in secure backup systems after deletion.
Backup data is retained solely for disaster recovery and business continuity purposes and is automatically overwritten or deleted according to our backup retention schedule.
Backup data is not restored except when required to recover from a system failure.
10. Fraud and Abuse Prevention
If your account has been involved in fraud, cheating, abuse, or other violations of our policies, we may retain information necessary to:
- Investigate misconduct
- Enforce previous disciplinary actions
- Prevent repeated abuse
- Protect the Service and its users
Retention will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for these purposes.
11. Legal Requests
We may delay or decline deletion where necessary to:
- Comply with a court order
- Respond to a lawful request from a governmental authority
- Preserve evidence for legal proceedings
- Meet other legal obligations
12. Processing Time
We will process deletion requests within a reasonable period.
Actual processing time may vary depending on:
- Account verification

- Legal requirements
- Technical considerations
Where required by law, we will process deletion requests within the applicable statutory time limits.
13. Changes to this Policy
