Third-Party Services

Effective Date: July 23, 2026
Last Updated: September 28, 2026

1. Introduction

Jackaroo ("the Service") relies on certain third-party providers to deliver features, improve reliability, process payments, and maintain security.

This document describes the categories of third-party services we use and the purposes for which they are used.

The providers we use may change over time as the Service evolves.

2. Payment Processing

Stripe

We use Stripe to securely process subscription payments and other purchases.

Stripe may process information including:

  • Payment information
  • Billing information
  • Transaction details
  • Fraud prevention information

Jackaroo does not store your complete payment card information.

Your use of Stripe's services is governed by Stripe's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

3. Cloud Infrastructure

Jackaroo may use one or more cloud service providers to host:

  • Application servers
  • Databases
  • File storage
  • Backups
  • Networking infrastructure

These providers help ensure that the Service remains available, reliable, and secure.

4. Email Services

We may use third-party email providers to send:

  • Account verification emails
  • Password reset emails
  • Security notifications
  • Subscription notifications
  • Customer support communications
  • Service announcements

Email providers receive only the information necessary to deliver these communications.

5. Analytics

We use PostHog Cloud for product analytics, including:

  • Page views and in-app navigation
  • Feature usage (for example sign-in, matches, and billing)
  • Session replay (masked form inputs)
  • Device and browser information
  • A stable account identifier after you sign in

PostHog is hosted by PostHog, Inc. Events may be processed in the United States or the European Union depending on the project region we configure.

The browser project API key is public by design (it is loaded by the Jackaroo web app). Server-side events use the same project. Leave the key empty in deployment to disable PostHog.

Analytics information is used to improve the Service and user experience. PostHog’s own terms and privacy policy also apply to data it processes on our behalf.

6. Content Delivery Networks (CDNs)

To improve performance, we may use Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) to distribute:

  • Images
  • Static assets
  • Scripts
  • Style sheets
  • Other downloadable resources

CDNs improve loading speed and reliability by serving content from locations closer to users.

7. Monitoring and Security

We may use third-party security and monitoring services to help:

  • Detect abuse
  • Prevent fraud
  • Monitor system availability
  • Investigate security incidents
  • Improve platform reliability

These providers are given access only to the information reasonably necessary to perform their services.

8. Advertising

Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements to free users of the Service.

Google may collect or receive information such as:

  • Device and browser information
  • IP address
  • Cookie and similar identifiers
  • Pages or screens where ads are shown
  • Interactions with advertisements

Jackaroo Pro subscribers are not shown these advertisements.

Your use of ads served by Google is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy and related advertising settings.

9. Customer Support

If we use external customer support platforms, they may process information that you voluntarily provide when requesting assistance.

This may include:

  • Email address
  • Username
  • Support requests
  • Attachments
  • Diagnostic information

10. Legal Compliance

We may disclose information to third parties where required to:

  • Comply with applicable law
  • Respond to lawful requests
  • Protect our rights

Examples may include:

  • Push notification providers
  • Mobile platform services
  • Authentication providers
  • Translation services
  • Customer communication platforms
  • Cloud storage providers

Whenever practical, significant additions will be reflected in this document and other applicable policies.

12. Our Responsibility

Although we carefully select third-party providers, each provider operates independently.

Their handling of information is governed by their own terms, privacy policies, and security practices.

We encourage users to review the policies of any third-party services that interact with the Service.

13. Changes to this Document

We may update this document periodically to reflect changes in:

  • Service providers
  • Infrastructure
  • Business operations
  • Legal requirements

Material changes will become effective upon publication unless otherwise required by applicable law.
